Welcome to Brian Ripley's 235.ca Web Management Services
Advertisement For Myself In 2004 I added my 100th client to my
roster.
Now in 2008 I am still acquiring new clients at a rate of about 2-3 per month. See the
CLIENT STATS to the right under the main navigation. It is a direct result of my business model to provide inexpensive website design, construction and hosting and a simplified approach to the problem
of delivering the client's information to their market in a comprehensive easy to navigate manner. That's what I wanted back in 2000 when I went looking for someone to build me a low cost, simple but
effective website and could find no one. It is apparent that I am not alone. Other people appreciate my endeavour and I thank each one of my clients past and present for their continued support and referral
of my work. Each new client provides me with an opportunity to hone my methods and burnish my results. My pricing at $10-$20 per page to build a website is in the range of the lowest pricing in the market
place. I have not seen anything less, and most companies and individuals charge at least twice what I do and many charge 5 to 10 times. Very few web designers
publish their rates. Like everything else about
my business practice my rates are open to view. My average invoice, spread over my client list still only works out to +/- $10/hr for initial website construction and ongoing management over time. That's what it will cost you if you have me work
for you. My invoice includes my work-log and clearly shows your historical payments totaled and expressed as a $/hr figure.
It's more efficient to have me manage
your website which liberates you to pursue your business model and a greater $/hr return on your time investment doing what you do best. Not only are my rates low, but my output is high. See my
design client list (fully managed) and my hosted client list (client managed). I generally will have your request to publish completed within 24 hours of receipt of your material; and if my job list is full for the day, I will let you know that your request
might take 48 hours. If you rely on the marketplace for your income, you should have a website. It is the de facto modern broadcasting business tool for acquiring clients. I wrote this article "How
to Build a Website and Why Have a Website" in 2001 and it still provides instruction, but in October 2005 Dave Watson,
deceased IT columnist for the Georgia Straight, wrote this
revealing observation that the internet is now a localized communication tool. Thanks to Google and other modern search technology firms, local searches yield rich results, and if you are not
published then you are not searchable and you are not found. (See the Useful Tools page and if you have a business street address, register yourself in Google's powerful Local Listings search engine).
